Lake Dospat Lodges

Client:

Lake Dospat Lodges is a resort nestled in the natural landscape of Lake Dospat, in the heart of the Western Rhodopes, one of Bulgaria's most picturesque mountain areas.

The complex consists of 15 lakeside tiny houses, set within a context of woods, water, and nature. The units are designed to offer a private stay in close contact with the landscape, enhancing the tranquility and outdoor dimension of the location.

The resort features a main building with a reception and restaurant, designed as a welcoming point and common space for guests.

Project:

The Client desired an original project capable of integrating into a strongly characterized natural context, between the forest and the lakefront.

The project, designed by Studio Silvia Giannini Architects for Lake Dospat Lodges, covers an area of 4,000 sqm and features a system of small hospitality volumes immersed in the landscape.

The units were designed with different shapes and surfaces, following the natural slope of the terrain. The site plan was studied to ensure each volume has autonomy, privacy, and a direct relationship with the lake view.
