Castellare di Tonda SPA

Client:

Castellare di Tonda is an estate nestled in the Tuscan hills of Montaione, between Florence, Pisa, and San Gimignano, designed for a stay in close contact with nature.

The complex is divided into a series of ancient stone farmhouses, organized as small hamlets scattered across a property of over 280 hectares. Each group of houses features a private swimming pool, green spaces, and a barbecue area, offering privacy and comfort in an authentic rural setting.

The facility completes the experience with a restaurant, SPA, tennis courts, kids' club, and equestrian center, offering opportunities for excursions and outdoor activities among the Tuscan hills.

Project:

The SPA, designed by Studio Silvia Giannini Architects for Castellare di Tonda, was created with the objective of offering a new service to the estate’s guests and contributing to the facility’s deseasonalization, enriching the stay experience with an area dedicated to wellness.

Developed over 250 sqm, the SPA includes a sauna, Turkish bath, emotional shower, footbath, panoramic relaxation area, outdoor whirlpool tub, and four treatment rooms.

The large glass window becomes an almost invisible diaphragm between the interior and exterior, bringing nature inside the environments and giving guests the feeling of being completely immersed in the greenery.
