The Client needed to create a gym within the Terme di Chianciano, in the province of Siena, dedicated to the innovative metabolic and cardiac rehabilitation program of the UPMC Institute for Health.
The project spans 5,920 sq ft and includes an equipment room, a group class studio, and a personal training room, organized to accommodate physical activity, functional recovery, and prevention programs.
The goal was to create a rehabilitation center far removed from the aseptic, medical image traditionally associated with healthcare environments, favoring a welcoming and refined atmosphere closer to the aesthetic of a fitness boutique.
The interior design starts with the UPMC brand’s purple color, harmonized with a palette of neutral tones. The spaces are characterized by black-and-white murals of movie stars who frequented the Chianciano Film Festival, introduced as a decorative element that establishes identity and a connection to the local area.
