Glamour SPA

Client:

Superstudio Più, located at via Tortona 27 in Milan, is a multifunctional event space established in 2000 following the redevelopment of the former General Electric plant.

Situated in the heart of the Tortona District, it is now one of the city's iconic locations for design, fashion, art, culture, and communication, featuring 10,000 square meters of surface area and modular rooms dedicated to exhibitions, fashion shows, conventions, and major events.

It is considered a landmark of Milan Design Week and the Fuorisalone.

Project:

Studio Silvia Giannini Architects designed an installation for SPA DESIGN within Superstudio Più.

The project, developed over 100 square meters, interprets the SPA (Glamour SPA) through a feminine lens, giving shape to a space that is chic, private, and ephemeral, yet introspective at the same time.

The environment includes a vanity area, a lounge zone, a bathtub, and a steam bath. The steam bath seating was crafted from Idrocon, a special concrete that was printed with a crocodile-skin texture for the occasion.

The result is a scenographic and sensory SPA, conceived as a place of beauty, intimacy, and material experimentation.
